I am thrilled at how creative and fun these covers are! I applaud the rejection of a straight cheese shot trying to sell the issues with T&A and just having the ladies being super heroines, yet still drawn beautifully and powerfully. the action figure cover was an instant favorite of mine!
I love your artwork. There is so much that I could say about the character and did. But, I erased it so not to insult your hardwork on this piece. I will save it for the comic shop when I pick up my books.
I am looking forward to getting into this series and seeing how good it is. I like getting pleasantly surprised. Awesome cover work, for sure at least. I particularly like that winged creature on the armor. Is that a harpy?
I'd agree with that. As a personal preference I like the short hair approach for the same effect on women, and three o' clock shadow for men. For the design over all I feel the dreads are really jarring, they don't fit the aesthetic. While I realize it's a pretty fantastical fiction we are all enjoying (and they are selling) as a rule elements of truth go a long way toward selling a design. So long dreads on a character who is supposed to be a strong melee fighter is really impractical. In this instance in particular it would have been nice to see some short hair for a bit of team variety as well.
