Digital paint practice

These are my first 3 attempts ever at digitally painting backgrounds. I used a lot of the Feng Zhu video tutorials as guides. The sci-fi image was first, the flying ships second, and the winter scene 3rd. Very rough and I still have a long way to go but I'm having a blast trying something new. All done in photoshop CS6 on a Cintiq.
