This is one of the submissions that I hesitate to submit to DA because I don't know how to feel about them. I work largely from my own imagination and rarely, if ever, use reference so it's always weird to draw from a photograph. I don't mean to dog on the people that draw from photographs exclusively but I find that it doesn't require very much imagination and relies much more on technique and skill, much like a draftsman ( a skill which I could stand to work on a bit more). I prefer not to do it if I can help it but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw Indiana Jones. These are trading cards that are going to be randomly inserted into packs of Indiana Jones trading cards from Topps so Indy fans get the chance to pull an original piece of artwork when they buy packs of cards. Each card it drawn at only 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches(roughly the size of a baseball card) so I had very limited space but I found it to be a fun little exorcise. In fact, depending our your monitor size, you're seeing them at a bit bigger than I drew them. All are done traditionally using anything I could find around my drawing table including copic markers, watercolor, prismacolor, pencil, and white and black ink. Each card took me anywhere from 10 minutes to 4 hours depending on the card. If you want to read more about the card set check out Topps at [link]
mr brooks... if you don't submit these I WILL find you and kick you... very hard.
I've seen a lot of cards from heroes to indy and honestly, these are probably the most accurate inventively drafted pieces i've seen.... I am actually going to fav this because i want to enjoy these a little more in depth. Don't make the mistake of NOT submitting this.... these are gorgeous.....

Yay, how exciting! I rewatched a few of the movies last weekend and now I have so much more appreciation for this, especially in light of the new film coming out. But anyways ~ Indy in his "I'm a professor, really" clothing, the poor (ha!) Nazi man meeting his doom, and Indy with his dad (HENRY JR!) make me very happy. Good job and congrats on sneaking your awesome work into cards, I hope they make everyone very happy.

HAHA, yeah, I watched them all just to catch myself up and it was blast. I forget how good the movies are when I go a year or more without watching them. I just hope the 4th movie lives up to the first three!
