Cover for New X-Men issue 24 penciled and colored by me with inks by Jaime Mendoza. For anyone not familiar, this is Mercury- a mutant whose entire body is composed of liquid metal much like the bad terminator in Terminator 2.

I thought i recognized your art from some drawings of X-23 and the New Xmen series :eager:, these few issues had to be the most depressing thing ever, i was in a mood for days. I love the way that everything is reflected onto mercury's face and her facial expression is really well done :).

This has always been one of my favorite covers, I just thought the images reflecting in Mercury were amazing, and her expression was simply moving. I like the cover because it also sparked a total geek debate: "If Mercury is made entirely out of liquid metal, why does the internal part of her mouth obviously resemble tissue and muscle? She doesn't need to eat or breathe to survive, I highly doubt her internal body is not metal as well." :lmao: Funniest debate I've ever had with the geekiest people I've ever met.
