Cover for New X-Men issue 24 penciled and colored by me with inks by Jaime Mendoza. For anyone not familiar, this is Mercury- a mutant whose entire body is composed of liquid metal much like the bad terminator in Terminator 2.

That's very disturbing. Also, I know you are limited by characters that already exist, but the hair looks really out of place with the molten metal look to me. Seems like it should catch fire or something. Not that these powers are usually logical that way.. so um.. nevermind I guess. :lol:

Can you tell me if she's actually getting burnt or thats a reflection of something burning?

I was curious about that since originally seeing it, since it looks like burnt solder on her face...

wowtwow.... this is sooo good.... like i dont know the character but the line work and coloring is done so well i understood she was metalic. the reflections of the explosion are just on point damn... props yo. props.
