Here'e the final pic for the Sin City piece. You can see the thumbnail for this in my scraps gallery. For those not familiar, Sin City is the highly aclaimed series of books from Frank Miller. Anyone who's hoping to get into comics and hasn't read them already needs to do themselves a favor and get every volume of the Sin City series. Frank Miller can show you just about everything you need to know about story telling, positive/negative space, and panel layout not to mention a bunch of really kick ass stories. A bunch of the stories have just been re-released on trade paperback form and can be found at most major book sellers or comic shops. If that fails, try Ebay or Amazon.com.

Anyway, the piece was done to try and convey 3 things. First I wanted to honor the style of work Frank Miller is so known for as well as throw in my own style to give it a unique look. Lastly, I wanted to meld the style of the comics with the more realistic style of the Sin City movie that's coming out in a few weeks. You guys can be the judge as to whether I succeeded or not.
The piece was done in pigma size .01 pens and black india ink brush pens. The colors where done in photoshop. I'd post up the pencils but there aren't any since I rough sketched it in non-photo blue and went straight to inks. Hope you dig it!
