Description

WARNING: BIG FILE!!!!
I've had a few people ask about my studio on DA and Myspace so I thought I would submit a crudely put together 360 view as well as some explanation for what I have surrounding me on a daily basis. My wife was kind enough to give me the entire top floor of our house to use as my fortress of solitude. It's rarely this clean=)

A: The work station. This is where I keep in contact with the rest of the world as well as color my work. The Epson R1800 printer is my main source of printing off blueline layouts for final pencils.
B: If this was cribs i would say that this is where the magic happens. See the dark spots on the wooden draw surface? That's where my arms usually are .
C: My cumfy chair. It has a pretty deep ass imprint from hours and hours of sitting. I've even taken a cat nap or 2 in it during those long nights under deadline.
D: I'm a collector of movie prop replicas and keep my favorite one here. Included are Han's blaster, Serenity from Firefly, a handful of lightsabers, and Sweeney Todd's razor. Also have an autographed ball from the entire 2005 offensive line from the University of Georgia.
E: I'm a huge video game nut so I have my systems and peripherals all stored here. I wish I had more time to play. Anyone on Xbox 360 and wants to play Call of Duty or GTA with me, my game tag is old_scratch1138
F: Have a mentioned that I'm a huge Star Wars nut? This is just a handful of the hundreds of SW toys I have strewn around the studio.
G: My biggest vice is building, modifying and collecting 12" action figures. Mostly Star Wars but also includes stuff from Alien, Marvel, Hellboy, Capcom, Akira, and Lord of the Rings.
H:My ever expanding pile of old artwork, sketches and scrap material. I really have to figure out what to do with it all someday.
I: The Futon! I like to call it the nocturnal slumber station.
J: Shelf full of art books, sketchbooks, reference material, and graphic novels. Always good for inspiration when I'm in a slump.
K:Mellinium Falcon. My prize Star Wars possession. 3 feet long and modeled from the same molds used for the Falcon in the movie. Weighs about 30 lbs and lights up when plugged in. If there's ever a fire in my house this will be the first thing I grab after my wife and son=)
L: More figures( including some of my customs), statues, along with art books, DVDs, and video games.
M: Stacks of print paper, artwork and sketches that have no where else to go. I keep them here for easy access later in case I find that I need them.
N: What's this? Could is been a new art book coming out in a few weeks? Stay tuned=)

Well, that's it. As you can see, I'm a HUUUUUUGE geek but proud of my nerdom. And as I've always said, Nerd is the new black! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I'll try to answer.

Hope you dig!

even your dog is starring at all that shit. i couldnt get started with all that lame ass dolls and toys around thats scary. but i feel you bro, 20 years ago that setup WAS tHE SHIT! blast from the past, i read about your setup in an art book when i was a kid. But even Stan Lee had a beast ass workstation...just like your art tho. Todd MacFarlane was the one who came with all the lame toys and dolls....and crazy shit all in his studio.

im suprised more artist that are pro's like u don't have a bunch of naked bitches around and shit, but that was the 80's. sigh...

id just ditch all that shit for some real ass graffiti tagging shit. gear ya know..nice spray, maybe an airbrush setup...etc

um..and even Stan Lee had that one thing..i used to see him use it a lot. I think its called a palette? And um...u don't have the typical bins and shit crayons/pencil cases... and is this as clean as it gets? id just spray it all down with graffiti and trash it lol...

and i think its smart to have a paint area..for portraits. u sell out of there lol? no wonder u just do stan lees...i would too if i spent it all on toys. Stan Lee was different u see...he made all them fucking toys and shit himself.  basically high scale graffiti. i remember seeing todd macfarlane with that one toy group...big name tho. He didn't make any of them spawns...all machine manufactured. I had some. they sucked ass at first. then he made them artsy for grown ups cause it wouldnt sell. commercial cheesy overproduced capitalist business.

but you do have heat bro...ill admit.  ill post my setup soon too. i wish i could draw like you tho...im just having fun on your page cause its dope as fuck. i see this is a older setup, but I had the same shit back then. and it sucked ass.  but im not just blowing smoke up your ass...i give u all the credit in the world. i just do the same almost without any of that stuff...
