Hello sir, I was wondering what color mode you use in the layers pallet in photoshop after the image is rescanned with the copic grey scale? Really amazing work by the way!!!

Hello Mr Brooks!

Please are you thinking about your drawing of your character befor to draw the first lines?
Are you using the different steps: ligne of life, pose, proportions, masses, clothes and details , inking, coloring?
Are the first steps very important for you, the feeling of your characters?
Do you have a clear vision of your characters in their actions?
Are you posing in front of a glass?
Are you always using models?

Thank you!

Does the Cintiq version exist primarily as a layout concept, then you ink it from scratch on paper? Do you use the penciled version as anything other than reference, and the paper is literally clean sheet drawn from scratch?

It's a pretty amazing process to watch at high speed, and the end result's really something.

Awesome use of line and breaking up the picture so that it doesn't look too busy. I like how you put the steps to the finalized picture. Great detail in the characters, coloring, and contrast with the red against the grayish green (it really brings my eyes to him!) Nice job :) :D

just wow <3

one question - why do you switch between cool and warm grays? is there some big reason for that ?

I use cool grays when the color is something in the cool range(blue, greens, some purples) and warm when the natural color is warm(reds, yellows, oranges, some purples). Thanks for the comment!

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone going from screen to paper and then back to screen again! Certainly works for you, this is amazing.

So as someone trying to get into a similar workflow as you, what kind of printer/paper do you use for your non-photo blue prints? I haven't found a printer that can print on heavy enough paper to do what I want to do. I suppose 100 lb. paper will work for inks, but is there a nice printer you would recommend, or do you go out and get prints made? Otherwise, great piece, great video, and I love this like the rest of your work. Great job!
