Cover for X-Men Legacy #265 for Marvel Comics plus a speed video showing every step of the cover creation process condensed down to a 10 minute video.

Link to video: [link]

Cover penciled digitally on a Cintiq in photoshop, inked with Copic Multiliners and greyscaled with Copic markers with white acrylic for the highlights and then colored in photoshop.

Hope you dig!

Hello Mr Brooks!

Please are you thinking about your drawing of your character befor to draw the first lines?
Are you using the different steps: ligne of life, pose, proportions, masses, clothes and details , inking, coloring?
Are the first steps very important for you, the feeling of your characters?
Do you have a clear vision of your characters in their actions?
Are you posing in front of a glass?
Are you always using models?

Thank you!

Does the Cintiq version exist primarily as a layout concept, then you ink it from scratch on paper? Do you use the penciled version as anything other than reference, and the paper is literally clean sheet drawn from scratch?

It's a pretty amazing process to watch at high speed, and the end result's really something.
