Artist's Comments

This is a piece done for a charity art book titles Monsters and Dames for the Emerald City Comicon [link] held in Seattle on April 4th and 5th. It's a charity hardback book sold in limited numbers to benefit the Seattle Children's Hospital and is a limited number of 850 copies. Other artists include Bruce Timm, Frank Cho, Ben Templesmith, and Stuart Immonen just to name a few of the 46 artists participating. Make sure to grab your copy if you are attending but, if you're not, ask around and see if there's someone you know attending that can grab a copy for you.
Piece done in pen and ink on bristol board and colored in photoshop.

Looks insane! I love the gradiant in the backround that's awesome of you to do this for charity, I'd pick up a copy but I won't be at the Seattle con and I don't know anyone who's going :(

Wow! I love the twist...from the thumbnail I got she looked radiant and glowing. Then once I got a better look at it the once healthy glow looks sickly and evil. Great stuff. Wish I could attend and snag a copy!

Brooks, this piece is SICK! Love seeing when you get the opportunity to step outside of the box a bit. Definite change from the good girl pieces you've been doing of late. Love it!
