Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

EXCESS BAGGAGE!!!

PLEASE READ THIS FULLY! ALL ORDER INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN THE JOURNAL!

Well, it's that time of year again! The 2006 sketchbook is hot off the presses and available for your immediate consumption. The book is a bit more impressive this year with 42 pages of doodles, sketches, and linework I've done over the last year. Over 100 drawings crammed into one handy dandy book. The sketchbook comes SIGNED and square bound(no staples for this bad-boy) with a glossy cardstock cover. As a little BONUS, I like to doodle original sketches on the inside cover from time to time so you might be lucky enough to randomly receive one of the sketch editions!!

NOTE- DO NOT ASK FOR A SKETCH EDITION! These are random and asking for one is a sure fire way to guarantee you won't get a sketch copy. I do these when I have time and completely for fun so trying to fulfill everyone's request for sketch copies takes away from my regular work I have to do for Marvel Comics on a daily basis. The good news is that if you do get a sketch edition you get it for the same price as a regular edition!

The sketchbooks this year are $15 plus $5 shipping anywhere in the 48 states. Hawaii, Alaska, and international orders will cost a little more based on your location. This is just for the 2006 sketchbook. The 2005 sketchbook is out of print and sold out so we won't be able to fulfill any orders for last years addition.

Just shoot an e-mail off to Markbrooksart@msn.com saying you'd like a sketchbook and my lovely wife Lisa will get back to you usually within 24 hours with full details for ordering the book.
