How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

It's that time of year again! I will be at San Diego Comic Con beginning preview night on July 11th all the way through to the 15th at BOOTH #4403. We have tons of stuff planned this year including my new artbook GROUNDWORKS:The Marvel Art of MARK BROOKS as well as a ton of new prints and lithographs. Here's a complete list of what you can expect:

ORIGINAL ART - including some recent covers for X-Men Legacy and interiors from his run on Uncanny X-Force as well as a portfolio of older art with reduced pricing.

-The Deviantart panel on Saturday July 14th from noon-1pm in Room 2, Upper level, Hall A (this is on the opposite side of the convention center from where it was last year) [link]
-How to compose a cover with Mark Brooks- Friday, July 13 from 2:30pm-4:30pm(check program guide for location). This is an hour long session on the composition and illustration of a cover and will give you insight on how a cover is made. This is an interactive session so please bring paper and something to write/draw with. This is going to be a ton of and I hope you will plan to attend!
- Lastly, I will be signing at the Marvel booth from 1-2pm on Thursday so come by and get your books signed as well as free sketches!
